Welcome friend, I'm so glad you are here!

I’m Alyssa, a holistic recovery coach who knows firsthand what it means to walk through pain, struggle, and survival. My path through trauma, violence, problematic substance use, eating disorders, and depression has shaped not only my own healing — but also how I support others.

With over seven years of recovery, I’ve come to see that our struggles with substances, food, relationships, and mental health aren’t random “disorders.” They’re adaptive survival strategies, born out of nervous systems doing their best to cope with trauma, disconnection, and the systems we live inside.

Conventional models often treat the individual as the problem. I believe the real disruption is to see that our culture itself creates trauma — through capitalism’s grind, broken family systems, and a medical model that reduces people to diagnoses. Recovery isn’t just personal — it’s cultural, ancestral, and communal.

My work blends somatics, nervous system regulation, ancestral nourishment, and earth-based practices with elements of traditional recovery. This approach doesn’t just manage symptoms — it asks deeper questions: What are we really recovering from? How do we return to community, ritual, and the body as places of belonging and healing?

I don’t walk this path as an authority above you, but as someone beside you. Together, we root down, question the narratives we’ve inherited, and rise into lives of resilience, integrity, and embodied freedom.

What is Holistic Healing in Recovery?

You’ve probably heard the phrase “holistic treatment” — but what does that really mean?

In recovery, holistic healing is about addressing the whole person — body, mind, spirit, and community — instead of just managing surface symptoms. It recognizes that struggles with substances, food, or relationships aren’t isolated “problems,” but signals from a nervous system shaped by trauma, stress, and the culture we live in.

In my work, we start from the bottom up — with the body. We build nervous system capacity first, creating a foundation of safety and stability you can return to when life feels overwhelming. Through somatic therapy, breathwork, and mindful awareness, you’ll learn to release stored tension, regulate your body’s signals, and come home to yourself.

We also look at nourishment as medicine — supporting the body with whole foods and ancestral nutrition to restore balance to mood, energy, and resilience. Healing isn’t just psychological — it’s cellular, communal, and spiritual.

This is not about quick fixes or band-aid solutions. It’s about disrupting the patterns that keep us stuck and reclaiming recovery as a path of wholeness. In this space, you’ll explore self-discovery, healthier coping, and new relational patterns — so recovery isn’t only about surviving, but about rooting, rising, and thriving.

Root & Rise Recovery Program

90-Day to 6-Month Healing Container

Lasting change doesn’t happen overnight. It takes time, consistency, and support to truly rewire the nervous system and create new patterns of living. That’s why the Root & Rise Recovery Program is offered as a 90-day to 6-month container — giving you the structure, guidance, and space you need to heal at the root and rise into a more grounded, thriving life.

This program weaves together four essential pillars of recovery:

🌱 Daily Accountability & Structure

Chaos keeps the nervous system in survival mode. Without structure, there’s no sense of safety. Together, we create the routines, accountability, and daily practices that allow your system to exhale and begin healing.

🥦 Holistic Nutrition Support

In recovery, the body often carries the imprint of depletion. Nutrient deficiencies can fuel mood swings, anxiety, and post-acute withdrawal. As a Certified Holistic Nutritionist, I’ll guide you in restoring your system with nourishing whole foods, ancestral nutrition, targeted supplements, and gentle plant allies. Food becomes more than fuel — it becomes medicine, reconnecting you to rhythms of the earth that naturally stabilize mood, energy, and resilience.

💠 Somatic Therapy & Embodiment Practices

True healing is bottom-up and body-led. Before diving into deeper trauma work, we focus on nervous system regulation and building capacity. Through somatic awareness, breathwork, and embodiment practices, you’ll learn to release stress, expand resilience, and create safety within yourself. These practices are not separate from nature — they mirror the cycles of breath, earth, and season, helping you feel held by something larger than yourself.

🤝 Relational Healing , Attachment Repair & Eco-Somatics

The opposite of addiction is connection — not only to people, but to the land, the more-than-human world, and your own body. Many of us struggle to feel safe in relationships after trauma, so we begin with small, relational practices that repair trust. Through relational somatic therapy, we tend to attachment wounds, communication patterns, and the fear of intimacy or abandonment. And through eco-somatic connection, we reclaim the earth itself as an attachment figure — a source of safety, grounding, and belonging that’s always available.

This program is not about quick fixes. It’s about rooting into safety, nourishing the body, and expanding your capacity for life and connection — so that lasting change becomes possible.

Services Offered In The Program

Daily Check-In & Support

In recovery, chaos often feels familiar — but it keeps the nervous system stuck in survival mode. Without structure, there’s no sense of safety, and without safety, healing can’t take root.

That’s why accountability and structure are at the heart of this work. They provide the grounding, predictability, and rhythm your system needs to finally exhale. When structure becomes safety, healing becomes possible.

As part of my holistic recovery program, I offer Daily Accountability & Structure check-ins designed to support you in real time. Each day, I’ll connect with you to:

• Set intentions and create focus for your day.

• Build routines that create stability and nervous system safety.

• Reflect on progress and celebrate small wins.

• Stay accountable so you feel consistent, supported, and not alone.

This daily support isn’t about rigid reminders — it’s about creating a container of safety and connection. It helps you move beyond chaos and into a life that feels grounded, relational, and whole.

Nutrition for Recovery

Healing the body is a vital part of recovery. Substance use, eating disorders, and chronic stress often leave the body depleted of the very nutrients that support mood, energy, and resilience. Without restoring the body, it becomes difficult to find emotional balance or sustain long-term change.

In this work, I bring my training as a Certified Holistic Nutritionist — but also the understanding that food is more than fuel. Food is medicine, ritual, and a way back to belonging. Together, we focus on:

Stabilizing blood sugar to regulate mood and energy.

Replenishing nutrients often depleted in recovery (B vitamins, magnesium, zinc, omega-3s, amino acids, etc.).

Working with herbs and plant allies to soothe the nervous system and reduce cravings.

Creating a simple, sustainable rhythm with food that supports your body and fits your life.

Nutrition in recovery isn’t about dieting, restriction, or chasing perfection. It’s about rebuilding your foundation so your body has the strength, steadiness, and resilience to hold the deeper work of healing. When your body is nourished, your mind clears, your nervous system steadies, and your capacity to thrive expands.

Somatic Foundations for Recovery

Recovery isn’t just about stopping a behavior — it’s about creating the conditions for your body and nervous system to heal. Willpower and mindset alone rarely work long-term, because the body still carries the imprint of trauma, stress, and survival responses.

Somatic therapy offers a bottom-up approach to recovery. Instead of pushing past or overriding your body, we begin by building foundations of safety, grounding, and capacity so that healing can unfold in a way that is sustainable and embodied.

In this work, you will learn to:

• Regulate your nervous system in moments of craving, overwhelm, or shutdown.

• Build emotional resilience and the capacity to stay with your feelings rather than escape them.

• Release stress, tension, and trauma that keep old coping patterns in place.

• Cultivate a deeper sense of safety, presence, and belonging in your body — and with the world around you.

These practices create the stability needed for long-term recovery. When your system feels safe, you can begin to rewrite old patterns, reconnect to your body, and rediscover connection in ways that once felt overwhelming or out of reach.

Somatic foundations aren’t just techniques — they’re a return to wholeness. They help you move from survival into resilience, and from cycles of escape into a life rooted in body, community, and recovery.

Somatic Relational Healing, Attachment Repair & Eco-somatics for Recovery

At the root of many struggles with substance use and addictive patterns lies unresolved attachment trauma. When our earliest bonds were disrupted — not only with caregivers, but also through severance from the land, community, and ancestral belonging — our nervous system adapted to protect us. It learned to pull away, shut down, or cling to whatever brought temporary relief, whether that was a substance, a behavior, or a relationship.

These protective strategies often show up in recovery as:

• Difficulty feeling safe in closeness or intimacy.

• Longing for connection but fearing rejection or abandonment.

• Turning to substances or behaviors when relationships feel overwhelming.

• Repeating painful dynamics, even when we “know better.”

Through Somatic Relational Healing, we work directly with the nervous system and attachment patterns. This isn’t about fixing or pathologizing — it’s about understanding these cycles as intelligent survival strategies and creating new possibilities for connection.

In this work, you will learn to:

• Recognize your attachment triggers and respond with awareness instead of automatic escape.

• Build regulation and resilience so you can stay present in moments of vulnerability.

• Experience safety and trust in connection — one step at a time.

• Rewrite old imprints with new relational experiences rooted in respect, care, and presence.

The opposite of addiction is often said to be connection — but connection means more than relationships with people. It also means reconnecting with your body, with the land that holds you, and with the ancestral and communal bonds that once made us feel safe. Healing in this way helps repair the bridge between your nervous system, your relationships, and the earth itself — so you can move from protection into presence, and begin to experience connection that feels safe, nourishing, and real.
